Boyd braces for Hollywood spotlight as filming takes over city streets

BOYD, Texas — Boyd is about to get its close-up.

On Tuesday, production crews will be in and around the city filming scenes for a "future television series." While officials say disruptions should be minimal, residents may spot film signage and police officers stationed nearby to help guide traffic.

Filming will start in the morning around the North Hitt/North Hovey and Dunlap areas, then move to FM 730 South later in the afternoon. Drivers in those areas may see short detours, but officers will be on-site to keep things moving smoothly.

The production is expected to last most of the day, with Boyd stepping into the spotlight as a backdrop for the series. Officials did not share what type of show is being filmed.
