HEBRON, Conn —
The death of a 14-year-old boy in a dirt bike crash in Hebron Sunday left a void in the hearts of all of those who knew him.
Classmates on Monday remembered Erik Brooker as a leader and a person who lived every day to the fullest.
“He was always just this funny and outstanding guy," classmate Julien Natelle said. “He would never care about what anyone said about him. He would just be himself.”
Erik, who was a freshman at RHAM high, would ride dirt bikes during his free time. Classmates like Beckett Crajewski said the rides would be their fondest memories with him.
“He would call me and say, 'Hey, do you want to go ride?' And I would say, 'Yes, of course,'” Beckett said. “We’d go ride around on the trails. It was fun.”
