ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A former DeKalb County jailer was arrested last week on felony drug charges, according to the sheriff’s office.
Deshawn Robinson, 24, was arrested Thursday on felony charges including possession of a synthetic cannabinoid, marijuana or K2 with the intent to distribute, items prohibited for possession by inmates, and violation of oath by a public officer, the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement Monday.
Robinson has since been released on bond.
He’s no longer employed by the sheriff’s office, which did not provide more details, including whether Robinson was fired or resigned.
“This matter is currently under investigation, and the agency has no further comment at this time,” the office said.
