DENVER (KDVR) — A 45-year-old man was found guilty by a federal jury in Denver on two counts of bank robbery stemming from incidents in September 2023.
Simon Meza, 45, of Denver, was convicted of two counts of bank robbery, according to the United States Attorney's Office for the District of Colorado. He had previously pleaded guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition in the same matter.
Prosecutors say that Meza went into the Huntington Bank on East Green Valley Ranch Boulevard in Denver on Sept. 20, 2023, and demanded money from the teller. Once provided, he took the cash and fled.
