Ricky Hatton sent a signed pair of his boxing gloves to a famous friend not long before he died, with his pal paying an emotional tribute following his death . ‌

Former world champion Hatton was found dead in his home on Sunday morning at the age of 46, sending the boxing world into mourning. But the love for ‘The People’s Champion’ spread far beyond the sport and Manchester, with tributes coming in from across the country . ‌
