TOWN OF WALLKILL – Facing potential disloyalty charges, longtime Town of Wallkill Councilman Eric Valentin has resigned from the Orange County Democratic Committee, although he denies the allegations.

“Our party is proud to support candidates who are trustworthy, consistent, and focused on the issues that matter most to working families,” Constantine said. “Democrats spoke clearly in the June primary, supporting Deshanda Carter to be their next county legislator. When the candidate who lost the Democratic primary continues to campaign against our nominee while espousing the values of Wallkill’s failed Republican leaders, that person does not belong on our Democratic Committee, and we respect his decision to step aside while we work to elect DeShanda Carter.”
