CINCINNATI (WXIX) - The Northside neighborhood has seen a decrease in violent crime, according to Cincinnati police District 3.
Officer Melissa Cummins told the Northside Community Council Monday that their neighborhood saw a 28% decrease in violent crime over the last 28 days, and an even bigger drop in areas like thefts from cars.
“Everything’s trending down, which is good,” Cummins told the council. “Your B-Es are down 60%, theft from autos down 60%.”
While violent crimes have been down over the last month, data from the Northside Neighborhood Report shows total violent crimes are slightly higher than they were at this point last year, reporting 29 violent crimes compared to 24.
Officer Cummins says she hopes to get District 3’s violent crime, or undercover officers back as soon as
