October is the time when the creepiest exhibits of Glanmore National Historic Site leave the attic and lie in wait for visitors.
The Belleville museum’s Creepy Curiosities exhibit will return Oct. 1 through Nov. 2, along with the special Family Night at the BOO-seum event Oct. 24.

And for both events, it’s a chance to see artifacts which normally reside in the Victorian building’s upper-floor storage rooms.
But they’re not all that scary – these are, after all, all-ages family attractions.
The artifacts include a wicker body basket of the type once used for wakes, when they were held in private homes; whimsical woodcarvings; the Feejee mermaid (a sideshow relic combining real animal parts), creepy-looking dolls, and more.
