Four countries are threatening to boycott the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest if Israel takes part.

Spain has become the latest country to join calls to exclude Israel from the competition.

It has joined The Netherlands, Ireland and Slovenia in threatening not to participate unless Israel is stopped from entering over the war in Gaza.

Spain's addition to the list of countries preparing to boycott the contest puts more pressure on both Israel and Eurovision organisers the European Broadcasting Union.

Spanish public broadcaster RTVE made the decision at a board meeting in Madrid.
