NOLANVILLE, Texas (KWTX) - One person was killed in a single-vehicle wrong-way crash near Nolanville, Texas, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Texas DPS says a 2022 Jeep Compass, driven by Nakole Akila Curry, 24, of Killeen, Texas, was reported as a reckless driver.

Reports stated that Curry was travelling the wrong way (eastbound in the westbound IH-14 lanes of travel) at a high rate of speed near Nolanville, Texas.

Texas DPS says Curry continued eastbound from IH-14 toward IH-35, taking the merge and crashed into a guardrail, coming to rest on the grassy median.

Curry was pronounced deceased on scene by JP Coleman.

Texas DPS says the investigation is still active and open and next of kin have been notified.
