After failing to reach a deal to buy a parcel from a homeowners association needed to build a traffic roundabout in east Vancouver, city officials on Monday took the first step toward condemning the property.
City staff said this week that gaining access to the parcel located at the northwest corner of Southeast 29th Street and Southeast 176th Avenue is key to building a single-lane roundabout that will serve the Vancouver Innovation Center , a 180-acre mixed-use development in Vancouver’s Fisher’s East neighborhood.
