(WFRV) – Festival Foods, a Wisconsin-based grocery chain with dozens of locations statewide, has been sold to an out-of-state family-owned business.

Schnuck Markets, Inc. announced Tuesday that the Schnuck family’s 1939 Group has entered into a definitive agreement to purchase 100% of the shares of Skogen’s Festival Foods and Hometown Grocers, Inc.

The sale covers 51 stores, including 42 Festival Foods locations and nine Hometown Grocers banners such as Dave’s County Market, Don’s Quality Market, and Wittenberg Sentry Foods. Officials say all stores will keep their existing names and branding.
