BOX BUTTE COUNTY, Neb. (KOLN) — A protection order filed days after a man went missing in northwest Nebraska is shedding light on a homicide case.

The Nebraska State Patrol, as of Monday afternoon, is searching for 32-year-old Ebram Sifuentes . The Alliance man was last seen in the town on Aug. 27 at 6:30 p.m.

Authorities discovered human remains in rural Box Butte County last Thursday. NSP said that they are confident that the remains belong to Sifuentes and that the death was the result of homicide . Additional testing is being concluded to confirm the results.

They then took 26-year-old Tamara Bingham and 36-year-old Matthew Landreth into custody. Bingham was arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder, and Landreth has been charged with accessory to murder.
