The strange bromance between Sir Keir Starmer and Donald Trump has survived a lot of bumps in the 10 months since the Maga champion sealed his return to the White House.

There is much that divides this odd couple – on the economy, immigration, Ukraine, Big Tech and more, the two men have starkly different instincts, not to mention totally contrasting styles.

On some issues, Starmer has done his best to win Trump around to his way of thinking, for example by praising the President’s efforts to end the war in Ukraine as a way of getting him to sign on to future security guarantees for Kyiv.
