A two-year-old girl was found safe after she went wandering off into a corn field in southeastern Minnesota Monday evening.
The emergency was reported just after 6 p.m. at a house on the 20500 block of Dodd Road in Cordova Township.
It sparked a response from numerous police and fire agencies, which commenced a "systematic search of the corn field south of the residence," with drones providing support from the air.
At about 7:15 p.m., police found the girl among the corn rows about a third of a mile south of the home. She was evaluated by medics but was unharmed.
