BOSSIER CITY, La. (KSLA) - First Bossier on E Texas Street in Bossier City is holding a night of prayer Tuesday (Sept. 16) for Charlie Kirk.

The church is inviting the community for a special evening of “prayer, hope, and unity” in honor of Kirk, who was shot and killed Sept. 10 while speaking at an event at a Utah university.

The church says the prayer vigil will be a time for the community to uplift Kirk, his family, and the country, “standing together in faith and believing that God hears the cries of His people.”

The vigil begins at 6:30 p.m. at Freedom Fields, which is located at 2810 E Texas St. Speakers include Pastor Brad Jurkovich, Pastor Corey Smith, Abigail Dejarnatt, founder of Counteract USA , and Moon Griffon, a radio host.
