HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Hawaii Department of Education announced Tuesday morning that Ma’ema’e Elementary School in Liliha is closed Tuesday, Sept. 16.

The closure comes after an unexpected power outage that is reportedly affecting the campus.

The DOE says crews are working to restore service, students, families, and staff can expect updates throughout the day.
