CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) — A West Virginia delegate has introduced legislation to establish an annual statewide Day of Remembrance honoring conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

In a Facebook post on Monday, Delegate Chris Anders (R-Berkeley) announced he has requested a bill designating October 14, Kirk’s birthday, as the official day to recognize his contributions and legacy.

Kirk, the founder of the conservative organization Turning Point USA, has been a prominent figure in national politics, attracting attention for his activism and public engagements.

Across West Virginia, vigils have been held or are planned to commemorate Kirk.
