LEBANON, Tenn. (WSMV) - Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee and First Lady Maria Lee helped volunteers improve ADA accessibility at Cedars of Lebanon State Park on Tuesday.
The efforts are just part of a series by Tennessee Serves , the First Lady’s volunteer organization, and Tennessee State Parks to recognize National Public Lands Day on September 27, according to a press release from the governor’s office.
The governor and First Lady joined about 60 volunteers at the park on Tuesday. In T-shirts and jeans, they got their hands dirty to beautify and improve the park.
“All of this is really just so that our Tennesseans and visitors, no matter who they may be, can really enjoy the beauty of our state parks in Tennessee,” Maria Lee said.
