AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - With the Surrey Center Pharmacy in Augusta set to lose its postal contract, Rep. Rick Allen introduced legislation to avoid such surprises.

The pharmacy offers many of the mail services a post office would, under a contract with the U.S. Postal Service. But the agency announced in June that this arrangement would end.

That sparked backlash from longtime customers.
