COLUMBUS, Ohio — A lockdown was lifted at three Columbus City schools on the southwest side following a shooting nearby that left a 14-year-old student injured.
Officers with the Columbus Division of Police were called on a report of a shooting near Lindbergh Elementary School, located at 2541 Lindbergh Dr., around 2:55 p.m.
A public safety dispatcher for the city said the shooting happened near a field by the school.
Franklin Township Police Sgt. Dave Pollock said the victim, a 14-year-old, was transported to Nationwide Children's Hospital in "stable" condition. A Franklin County Sheriff's Office sergeant told 10TV the teen is a student at Briggs High School.
The CCS spokesperson said Lindbergh Elementary School, Binns Elementary School and Briggs High School were placed on a Level 2
