TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - A motorcyclist is in the hospital after an accident in midtown Tucson that happened on late Tuesday morning.

According to the Tucson Police Department, the accident occurred around 11:45 a.m. near Speedway Boulevard and Belvedere Avenue on Sept. 16.

The motorcyclist was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Speedway Boulevard between Venice Avenue and Cataline Avenue will be closed for a while. Drivers are advised to find an alternative route.
