SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - On September 22, 2025, SCCPSS students will join students all over the state to hear Malcolm Mitchell, former UGA football star and Superbowl champion, read his favorite book.
This collaboration comes as Savannah-Chatham County Public School System is joins forces with Georgia Reads to celebrate literacy and promote reading, according to a press release from the school system.
Malcolm will read and talk about the importance of reading in his life on a livestream (available to everyone at https://www.gpb.org/georgiareadsday ) which will include “a reading rally, story time, and a magician.”
The Georgia Reads Day livestream will begin on September 22, 2025 at 9:30 a.m.
