Traffic stop leads to discovery of fentanyl and methamphetamine; two arrested on drug and tampering charges.

LAKELAND, Fla. – A traffic stop in Lakeland early Tuesday morning led to the arrest of a Winter Haven man and a Lakeland woman after a passenger was observed throwing a baggie of fentanyl from the moving vehicle.

At approximately 3:09 a.m. on Tuesday, a Polk County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) deputy attempted to pull over a gold Ford near the intersection of Main Street and Reynolds Road. According to the PCSO, the vehicle initially slowed down as if to stop, but continued to move forward. As it did, the passenger, later identified as 44-year-old Brandi Allisa Reese of Lakeland, allegedly threw a small baggie out of the window.
