NELSON COUNTY, Ky. —
A judge has granted Brooks Houck's sister full custody of his child with Crystal Rogers.
Rhonda McIlvoy asked a judge to grant her permanent custody of Houck and Rogers' child in July. She had been given temporary custody of the child in 2023.
During that time, Rogers' mother, Sherry Ballard, and Houck's mother, Rosemary, were fighting for custody of the boy in court.
A Nelson County Circuit Court judge granted her full custody of their son on Monday.
Houck was convicted on July 8 of murder - principal or accomplice and tampering with physical evidence in Rogers' disappearance.
Houck and Joseph Lawson, who was found guilty of conspiracy to commit murder and tampering with physical evidence, are set to be sentenced on Wednesday.
The third man convicted in the cas
