A bill to move forward an $8.9 million project to renovate Ewert Park failed to pass as an emergency ordinance Monday night, but can be voted on again at the Joplin City Council's next meeting.
Parks Director Paul Bloomberg said efforts to build a Splash Park with an ice ribbon to replace the Ewert pool and improve other parts of the park have been in the planning stages since 2021. ×
