Omaha drivers urged to avoid Grover & 189th Streets due to found grenade

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Authorities are asking drivers to avoid the area near 189th and Grover Streets to 191st Avenue Tuesday afternoon after a hand grenade was found.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office posted on X that “a garbage truck driver found a grenade in the back of his truck. The Omaha Police Department bomb squad is en route.”
