An Indiana man was arrested Friday on federal offenses in connection with last week’s lockdown at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, according to a statement released Tuesday by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Indiana.

Jackson Fleming, 23, of Chesterton, Indiana, was arrested on suspicion of sending an online threat circulated on social media concerning the Naval Academy on Thursday, prosecutors said.

Prosecutors said a complaint charges Fleming with one count of transmitting a threat in interstate communication.
