ELM MOTT, Texas (KWTX) - This morning Connally ISD had a special visit from the Commissioner of the Texas Education Agency, after two of their schools received an ‘F’ rating for the 5th consecutive year.

In hopes of seeing for himself why now three of the district’s six campuses received an ‘F’ accountability rating for the 2024-2025 school year , Commissioner Mike Morath sat in on several classes and talked one on one with administration.

“The purpose of my visit here is to see how is the district supporting classroom teachers and ensuring that what we are providing is a loving and disciplined learning environment, but in fact focused on learning,” Morath shared.

After his visit, he noted that there is an effort being made to improve the quality of learning in every classroom at Conn
