PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WPRI) — The fight to save Morley Field in Pawtucket continued Tuesday at a meeting of the city's planning commission, which was set to vote on a one-year extension for the developer looking to build there.

That vote was tabled, however, since the developer, J.K. Equities, wasn't in attendance.

The city approved plans to convert most of the area off Moshassuck Street into a distribution center and parking lot, but J.K. Equities asked for the extension since it's still awaiting approval from the R.I. Department of Environmental Management to pave over the park.
