Police have arrested a man and a woman who evaded officers for four days, after a carjacking north of Brisbane.

The pair were taken into custody at Maryborough at 7:35am on Wednesday.

Investigations are ongoing and charges are expected to be laid later today.

Police released security vision on Tuesday on the third day of their search.

The images were of a 35-year-old man from Granville and a 26-year-old woman from Maryborough.

Police alleged the pair assaulted three people in the Morayfield and Burpengary area, and tried to steal multiple vehicles while armed, early on Sunday morning.

They have been accused of taking an SUV from a service station along the Bruce Highway and later crashing it at Glenview, on the Sunshine Coast, before running into nearby bushland.
