ALABASTER, Ala. —

Traffic flow along Alabaster's busy Alabama 119 is expected to be much smoother now.

The city announced that new turn lanes were now open to drivers at the Thompson Road intersection.

There are now dedicated right turn lanes at all four corners of the intersection.

Traffic signals at that intersection were recently upgraded, the city said.

There is currently temporary striping in that area, with permanent striping to be added in a few weeks.
