A motorcyclist died late Tuesday afternoon after being ejected from his vehicle on a bend on Route 138 near Château-Richer, in the Capitale-Nationale region.
Emergency services were called around 4:30 p.m. in connection with a collision involving a motorcycle on Sainte-Anne Blvd., explained Camille Savoie, spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec.
According to initial reports, the motorcyclist, who was traveling westbound, lost control of his vehicle on a bend for reasons that were still unclear.
He then allegedly hit the guardrail on the central reservation before being ejected from his motorcycle. He was sadly pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
Investigators are on site to determine the causes and circumstances of this event.
