The call-in shows and social-media platforms may be rife with armchair coaches who don’t think Chris Streveler has what it takes, but the quarterback’s coach remains firmly in his corner.

Streveler was running the Winnipeg Blue Bombers offence in practice on Tuesday, pencilled in as the starter for a second straight week if injured No. 1 Zach Collaros can’t go.

It seems Bombers boss Mike O’Shea can’t get his mind off what Streveler did back in 2019.

“People are forgetting what Chris Streveler has done for us,” O’Shea said of the critics calling for a change. “You look back at his run in 2019.
