. “Just look at this Winnipeg team, and what they have done over the last few years,” Nyquist said after practice on Friday morning. “I haven’t won (a Stanley Cup) and the chances are getting (fewer), so to come here and have a chance to play on a good team and hopefully do something special here, that was the main thing that stuck out.”

The Jets signed the 36-year-old Swedish forward to a one-year deal worth US $3.25 million back in early July.
