TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - Amazon has provided a statement after a recent Catalina Foothills home break-in occurred, where a woman was seen wearing an Amazon t-shirt claiming to have a package for the owners.

The company said people who make deliveries on the behalf of Amazon do not routinely knock on doors or ask customers for signatures unless it was prearranged.

The Map Tracking feature in the Amazon app is provided to customers so they can track their delivery in real-time, and see when the driver is nearby.

Customers can verify legitimate deliveries through Amazon's Photo-on-Delivery feature which gives a visual confirmation once packages have been delivered safely.
