ROBARDS, Ky. (WFIE) - Fire crews were called to a solar farm in Robards for a fire Tuesday afternoon.
Dispatch officials say they received a call shortly before 3:30 p.m. for that fire.
According to officials, a solar inverter caught on fire.
Dispatch says the fire was extinguished, but was left to smolder.
As of 9 p.m. Tuesday, firefighters remained on scene to make sure it didn’t reignite.
The Robards Community Fire Department and Cairo Volunteer Fire Department helped on scene.
