The incumbent mayor of Somerville, Massachusetts, failed to advance to the general election, according to the unofficial results of Tuesday's primary.

With 100% of precincts reporting, the results show Mayor Katjana Ballantyne in third place, behind two city councilors, with 23.3% of the vote. Jake Wilson placed first with 41.85% and Willie Burnley Jr. came in second with 33.73%.

The Boston Globe reported Tuesday night that Ballantyne had conceded in the race.

"Together, we've laid a foundation that will help Somerville move forward and will help Somerville thrive," she told supporters, according to the newspaper. "It's just truly been an honor to be mayor of Somerville."
