LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - After what seemed like weeks, we finally were able to pick up some rainfall for a few lucky folks on our Tuesday.

That trend looks to continue as we head through our Wednesday as we’ll track another round of spotty to isolated showers and storms for the afternoon.

Starting out though, the weather won’t be too bad for the morning hours as we’ll see a mixture of sun and clouds as temperatures start out in the lower 70s.

Humidity and heat will build through the afternoon and much like yesterday, will help to spark a few of those storms.

Additional storms look to fire up along the outflow boundaries of the decaying storms and that should help to provide a little more widespread coverage for today.
