NORWALK, Conn. (WFSB) - A 21-year-old Norwalk man was arrested Tuesday afternoon after threatening to shoot someone with a handgun outside a business, according to police.

Officers received a call around 4:23 p.m. reporting a man, identified as Isaiah Mitchell, had shown a gun and made threats near 458 Westport Avenue.

The caller described the suspect and said he was last seen walking through a nearby parking lot.

Officers located a man matching the suspect’s description.

As police approached Mitchell, he was seen removing a handgun from his waistband and handing it to someone inside a nearby car.

Mitchell and two individuals inside the car were arrested.

Officers recovered a firearm that was loaded with 11 rounds of .40 caliber ammunition and had a defaced serial number.
