LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man fell asleep in an office chair after breaking into a business in north Lincoln on Tuesday, police say.
Around 5:45 p.m., officers were sent to a business near North 48th Street and Cornhusker Highway on a report of a robbery.
Officers arrived and spoke with the victims, who reported that they found 41-year-old Joshua Brown sleeping in an office chair.
The victims told Brown to leave, but thought he still might be inside the business, according to police.
LPD noted that the business had been “ransacked.” Cash was missing from a lockbox and a few ceiling tiles and wiring were damaged, police said.
The total loss was estimated at $4,400, along with about $600 in damage to the business.
Officers cleared the business but found an open window.
