OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Drivers can expect wet roads for the morning drive in the Omaha metro Wednesday.
Early Wednesday, Jaret Lansford with First Alert 6 Traffic warned commuters to be ready for the possibility of downpours and slippery roads.
“Slick conditions will be possible; be especially cautious on ramps, curves and interchanges,” Lansford writes in the Traffic blog.
Multiple crashes have been reported in the metro starting shortly after 6 a.m. Wednesday.
First, there was a crash on westbound I-80 near 84th that caused the left lanes to be blocked.
There was a vehicle in a ditch on northbound JFK approaching Fairview as well that impacted drivers.
Then, there was another crash on eastbound I-80 approaching 42nd that left the center lanes blocked. Heavy delays were expected here
