YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) -- It was a night to celebrate the success of the 25th Our Lady of Mount Carmel Italian Festival.

Dozens of volunteers and sponsors came together at the church hall to be recognized for another successful celebration of Italian culture.

WKBN and WYTV have supported the festival for many years.

After the dinner, the Festival Committee then presented the big check totaling $60,000 to Mount Carmel Pastor Monsignor John Zuraw.

"What I see in the future for the festival is the same thing that we've always been. It's about the faith, it's about family, it's about friends and the process celebrating Italian culture, and if we make a little money, we're happy," said Mount Carmel Chairman Scott Schulick.

Plans are already in motion for next year. The festival runs July
