FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — The University of Arkansas' Bridge USA held a discussion Sept. 17 on political violence following the assassination of Charlie Kirk.
Bridge USA brings people from all sides of the political spectrum together to have productive conversations and find common ground. The goal of the discussion was to show the community that having civil dialogue is still possible.
"We've seen an uptick in political violence in this country, so we think it's more important than ever to bring people together and talk about why this is happening and show that we don't want this as a generation and that there is a better way forward," said Kate Tandy, president of BridgeArkansas.
