An alleged attack at a well-known nightclub in Oldham that left a woman injured is being investigated by police.

The incident is reported to have happened at Liquid & Envy in the town centre in the early hours of Saturday morning (September 13).

Police said they were called to Retiro Street between 3.45am and 4.15am to 'reports that a woman had been attacked in a nightclub.'

Officers attended along with paramedics.

The woman was treated in hospital for 'facial injuries', Greater Manchester Police's Oldham division said in a post on their Facebook page.

They are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing, the force said.

An investigation is now underway.
