OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Omaha fire crews responded to a fire in a North Omaha home Wednesday afternoon.
An Omaha Fire Department release says crews responded to a home near 70th Avenue and Spencer Street around 4:45 p.m. Wednesday.
Crews saw smoke and flames coming from the rear of the home once on the scene.
One occupant and a dog were in the home at the time of the fire, and were able to leave the scene safely.
The crews were able to extinguish the fire after a short time. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Damages to the home are estimated to be $35,000.
