LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - The Beatrice man convicted in the death of a 4-month-old baby and the sexual assault of a 15-year-old was sentenced in Gage County District Court.

On Wednesday, Austin Meyn, 28, was sentenced to 74-76 years in prison for one count of manslaughter, two counts of felony child abuse, and one count of first-degree sexual assault with 376 credit for days served. He will have to be a registered sex offender for 25 years.

Meyn took a plea deal and pled guilty to the charges on July 22.

In exchange for his plea, prosecutors dropped a third count of felony child abuse and reduced a child abuse resulting in death charge to manslaughter.
