HALL COUNTY, Neb. (KSNB) - The Hall County Sheriff’s Office is working to positively ID a victim killed in a crash Wednesday morning.
First responders were called to a two-vehicle crash on Highway 281 by Diamond Truck Wash just north of Interstate 80.
The Hall County Sheriff’s Office as well as crews from Grand Island Fire and Grand Island Rural arrived on scene.
The sheriff’s office said a 2021 Freightliner box truck was traveling north on Highway 281 when the driver lost control, crossed the median and struck a southbound 2017 Chevrolet pickup on the driver’s side.
The vehicles were located along the ditch of the southbound lanes.
The driver of the box truck is a 35-year-old man from Grand Island. The driver of the pickup has not been positively identified at this time and was decla
