MARINE PARK — A large turnout gathered at the Carmine Carro Community Center at 3000 Fillmore Ave. on Sept. 16 for the resumption of the joint monthly meeting of the Marine Park Community Association (MPCA) and the Madison-Marine-Homecrest Civic Association (MMHCA) with a full agenda.

Over the summer, rumors swirled over social media and among neighbors that another lithium-ion battery storage facility was planned for 3802 Ave. U, currently occupied by Mike and Joe’s Mechanic Shop, in a neighborhood fighting against the installation of two such facilities on Flatbush Avenue near Quentin Road.
