ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WSPA) -- A reward is being offered for any information leading to the arrest of a suspect connected to a deadly shooting that occurred in Asheville in late July.
According to the Asheville Police Department, 36-year-old Iken Michtreal Wallace is wanted for first degree murder in the death of Denzel McKnight, who was shot to death on July 24.
Officers responded to a report of a gunshot wound at the Hillcrest Apartments on Atkinson Street before 2:30 a.m. Police located McKnight, who was taken to Mission Hospital where he later died.
The U.S. Marshals Service is offering $3,000 for any information leading to Wallace's arrest.
Police said Wallace is a Black man. standing at 5'9" tall and weighing around 176 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes, with tattoos of a lion
